Storm2k is an online website hosting information on tropical cyclones and tools for tracking them. Storm2k was founded in 2002. The Storm2k site has a forum with multiple categories and threads for discussion on tropical cyclones, as well as multiple tropical cyclone models and reconnaissance information.
Forums
The Storm2k forums are the largest and primary part of the Storm2k community website. As of June 2012, a total of nearly 11,000 users have registered on the forums, with over 100,000 topics and nearly 2 million individual posts. While the forums are used mainly for the discussion of tropical cyclones and other analysis, the forums also have off-topic categories and threads. The forums are built on the phpBB forum platform.
