A depiction of the atmospheric conditions in the North Atlantic Ocean on August 19, 2011. The storm on the lower right near the Yucatan Peninsula is Tropical Storm Harvey. The large orange circle on bottom center is a large wave known as Invest 97L. The orange circle on the bottom-right is Invest 98L and the small storm next to that is Invest 99L. Green arrows show the projected path of the storms, blue arrows show wind movement associated with the Azores High, shown as the "H". Red airbrush markings indicate high levels of the Saharan Air Layer, and dark blue airbrush markings indicate wind shear levels at or greater than 30kts.

The original background image originated from GOES 13 and was then added to the CIMSS Atlantic Water Vapor imagery. Markings were added by using Microsoft Paint.
